New Sigur Ros track!

Sigur Ros have posted a free to download track on their website from the forthcoming album "með suð í eyrum við spilum endalaust" (which apparently means "with a buzz in our ears we play endlessly").

I like it, it's very different to the previous stuff though, what do y'all think?

I like it. It's lovely. I think a new direction was needed to be honest, given that they made pretty much the perfect post-rock album with () and probably exhausted the whole big and epic thing with Takk...

But yeah, very glad their back, and that I'm finally SEEING THEM LIVE at Latitude!

and now they are copying animal collective. not that thats a bad thing. think more bands shoud..

I thought that it had a very Animal Collective sound to it, the albums out on the 26th of this month I think it was. One track is in English, one in Hopelandic, and the rest in Icelandic, nice to see a variety of things happening on a single CD.

I discerned some traces of Animal Collective too, actually. Only vaguely though, I think "copying" is a little extreme.

fine copying is a tad extreme but considering all of us have noticed it i can say that they are obviously greatly influenced by animal collective.

After listening to it again, I can narrow it down to saying to reminds me specifically of the AC song Who Could Win A Rabbit. So there.

The whole album's up for streaming on their website now. I'm torn between my desire to listen to it now and my desire to go outside and sit in the sunshine... Curse my laptop's inability to connect to wireless internet!

Ahhh, you need to get onto it Chris, it opens up whole new doors, such as shitting and surfing, a favourite pasttime of mine.

Well in theory I should already have it, but it's just my internet in Dronfield that my laptop refuses to connect to wirelessly. I think I can probably make do without the luxury of shitting and surfing in my life, however.

That's what I thought at first, but boy was I wrong!

New Coldplay album......What does anybody think of it, if they have heard any of it of course, I don't want people saying how shit they are without hearing a few new songs first.

Personally I think Voilet Hill is one of the best songs this year, and apparently the rest of the album is even better than that, could any of youns confim this?

I've not heard the album, but Violet Hill does nothing for me. Having, I've heard it's one of the worst songs on the album too.
