This poor little town named Lunt is suffering from grafiti artists. Can you guess what they're doing?

Thing is, though, they want to preserve their heritage, but says BBC News:
According to the local website, the area was first documented in 1251 in the Chartulary of Cockersand Abbey where it was referred to as "de Lund".

So why don't they just change it back to de Lund? That way, its got its "proper" name, which it doesn't even have now, and it can't be easily amended into the word 'cunt' for hilarity's sake.

I googled Lunt to see if the name has been changed, I couldn;t find any evidence, however I did find this:

The name 'Lunt', perhaps because of this isolation, and because it has retained its rural integrity, has remained relatively unchanged unlike other local townships whose names have been bastardised over the years

It could be because I'm currently drunk that I find this funny, but who else finds the word 'bastardised' hilarious?

Yes, yes I do, I'd say 99% of my posts are....I haven't had a drink today, and I'm not planning to until friday! Plenty of sober posts coming soon, that's if any other arse can be bothered to post before Friday.

I'd post but i never really have anything interesting to say. Well I do, but it's not anything that you'd be interested in, mainly my perpetual bitching on the world and her faults, especially trains.....i REALLY hate trains at the moment....

i hate trains especially their insistence on stopping within clumps of trees. we are in the 21st century things should be more efficient.

Hee hee....dumpy

I'm still waiting for the day that teleportation is avaliable, now i know all you naysayers will pipe up (or not if the forum continues its staggering decline) and say that it's not possible.
