Latitude
with Sigur Ros and Bill Bailey confirmed i say lets throw off the shackles of leeds and all go to Latitude this year!
I would rip off my own arm to see sigor ros live but i say this way is much less painful.

Re: Latitude
With Sigur Ros there, I think Leeds will have to take a miss, but it's only 2 days though.
Can you go down early like Leeds?

Re: Latitude
Truck, probably.
Latitude claims to be 4 days, although last year the only entertainment I remember on the thursday was some film montage on a massive screen next to an outdoor bar bit.

Re: Latitude
Nah, it was probably V, they have nice headliners, rest looks pretty poor however.
How much are these tickets and when do they go on sale?

Re: Latitude
Latitude? 130 of your bits (or free if you think you can pass for 13 years old) and their on-sale now. I've got mine already, as has Sir J. Empson.

Re: Latitude
Once again I couldn't say nay to Leeds, even though the Latitude line-up is infinity times better than Leeds, I have my ticket.
S'pose it proves the saying, "You can't teach and old dog new tricks".

Re: Latitude
Boo-urns.
There's new additions to the Latitude line-up for anyone who's made the right choice and not bought a Leeds ticket. I, for one, hope to fulfill a long-term aspiration of mine by stroking Dave Gormans fluffy chin.
Also, if anyone could tell me who the hell Amadou and Mariam are it'd be greatly appreciated.

Re: Latitude
hmmm dave gorman should have come last year with that book as it sounds ridiculously helpful for American Studies.. ah well.
i am disappointed that the Mars Volta clash with Sigur Ros... although there is definately no competition there.

Re: Latitude
Frankly I'm not sure there's a single band who I'd choose to see over Sigur Ros. They're probably my favourite band that I haven't already seen live (or won't have already seen live come July, Radiohead pending).
Another addition to Latitude, you'll all be delighted to here, is Sebastian Tellier, the French entry to this year's Eurovision song contest!
Have you quit uni now then Tom?

Re: Latitude
i have signed the forms but not delivered them yet...
all is not lost though as i have been guaranteed a place at sheffield hallam for the second year... so the debt wont be as frighteningly large as it could have been.

Needless to say, it will still be frighteningly large. This debt, I am not looking forward to.

Re: Latitude
personally i am pretending it doesnt exist... like i currently do with my annoying neighbours.... i learned my lesson after they managed to some how break into my house at three in the morning in a vain attempt to get me and my flatmate to have drinks with them... during which time one tried to kiss me but considering i was:
A) sober
and B) she resembled the female ogre from shrek wasn't going to happen.
