Patrick Swayze is at deaths door.

He's got pancreatic cancer and been given 5 weeks to live, with a 5% chance or survival.

This really sucks as there will be re-runs of Dirty Dancing on the TV all the time.

I will however me more than willing to provide a shoulder to cry on for the legions of women that will mourn his passing.

*EDIT* - I've just read on the BBC Website that these claims that he has 5 weeks to live are untrue according to the same doctor that told the Sun and Daily Mail (and probably other papers) were true.

But I know that pancreatic cancer is a bugger to get rid of (even more so than most others) so I wouldn't be surprised if the BBC finally reported something wrong.

I thought it would be nice to have a countdown timer until his probable death, but I can't find a forum compatible countdown. So for now I'll just write:

34 Days, 1 Hour, 55 Minutes and 40 Seconds.

More likely scenario: the Sun and the Daily Mail were lying?

It would seem that given the respectablilty of both newspapers.... the BBC would be the way to go.

Also i love how the only reason you think it sucks is because they will begin showing repeats of Dirty Dancing. But no fear Ghost will also be on repeat as well, especially considering that the film will finally be accurate.

I knew that you'd start blasting tabloids, that's why I commented on previous knowledge of pancreatic cancer, and it being VERY hard to survive through.......believe what you like.

well it depends if after he dies his spector posesses Whoopi Goldberg so he can have one last throwdown with his wife.

apparently the people suggesting that he has weeks to live are wrong. I bet that shocks everyone considering the source.

He has though got Pancreatic cancer but only a "limited amount" whatever that means.

naaaah they can be rather pleasant. Its a kinda like a step down from fish and chips in terms of enjoyabilty but they are nice in a sandwich.

No, I saw that one coming when he went missing. Must have been rather fond of his missus - you never consider when you're a kid watching these people that they actually have feelings and all that, sorta just seemed as though they existed to entertain us.

There was an incredibly depressing article in the Guardian yesterday written by the other guy from SMart. Gave you a little more insight into it all, you sort of can see how he couldn't keep on going. Not pleasant reading, to be honest.
