I have a radio show. 5-6, today and every Thursday - www.iconradio.co.uk if you're feeling bored this afternoon. It will basically consist of me playing music I like with little regard to whether my any potential listeners (which will be few as it is, since the station has existed for a grand total of 4 days) do. And perhaps occasionally mumbling awkwardly in between songs.

OOOO our Chris is going to be famous jocolor

Also you forgot to put a dot in the link. The website seems to indicated the only show is a Ghandi hour.

That's what I was on about the link requires a dot between co and uk. Just add it in yourself and try again.

Yeah, I'm the first person on today so I don't there's meant to be anything on at the moment, since they haven't sorted out all the daytime playlists and shite. I don't think its meant to be streaming when no ones on though... It's all a bit a shambles to be honest, I think I'll fit in rather well. Any requests in advance Steve? (bearing in mind I probably won't play them as it will cock up the timing of it all)

Something off the new Cat Power album would be appreciated, as I'm in that sort of mood at the moment, other than that I can't think of anything.

What type of music are you looking at playing, will it be more mainstream by your standards, or will it be pure Chris music?

Yesterday went well, I listen from 5 religiously till 6 and couldn't hear a damn thing, is there a reason for this?

I also listened into the bleak hour our silence. As silences go I'd rate it a 7.

I'm glad to hear you rate my silence highly, at least. Anyway, it wasn't just you - the whole damn thing cocked up (not through my own fault, I'm happy, though suprised, to report), and there was not a peep broadcast all day on thursday. I apologise for teasing you so.

Tune in next week for more top-notch silence! (probably)

I forgot to tune in after the first weeks epic programme (completely unnecessary sarcasm, I've covered this already but I thought I'd revisit it), so have you actually done any yet? And were they any good?

Yes, it's now developed into a weekly show of non-silence. Feedback has ranged from "pretty good" to "I thought I'd want to kill myself, but I didn't".

I noticed the fact that this topics two pages long, I was sat here for a while thinking, "I'm sure it said theres a new post in here". Took me a while to realise that we moved on to a new page.

I think this is the most pointless thread ever to have reached a second page.

Its always been the way of the forum I guess. Someone could post a thread for an intelligent discussion on the meaning of life but it would always be beaten by a thread on Neighbours or tea.

I frown upon both of your memories. Although you didn't miss a great deal - yesterday's show was average at best; the studio was pretty much empty so there was little "witty banter" or nothin'. I did however, read a single line-long extract of a French book I found lying around. You, see - the things you miss.

frankly i was disappointed that Steven got 2 requests on air whilst i only got the pitiful one!

I can only speculate the amount of thought and calculus that went into this blatently obvious conspiracy against me.

I thought it was hilarious with the whole Christian bashing and twat saying.

The playlist was excellent, Hot Chip was a band I didn't think you'd be interested in, and alos has Elvisss been re-released? It's been around for over a year now, still, glad to hear people know about it, as it's one of the best tunes I've heard for ages.

I think the crux of your problem is this:
(a) Steve asked for his earlier in the show when I had more time to fit them in.
(b) Steve said I had a sexy voice. You didn't.

The playlist was excellent, Hot Chip was a band I didn't think you'd be interested in, and alos has Elvisss been re-released? It's been around for over a year now, still, glad to hear people know about it, as it's one of the best tunes I've heard for ages.

Excellent, I'm glad someone appreciated the music. My housemates' (and sister's) feedback was that it was all good "except the music". But then, given my opinions on their musical taste, I consider that a positive thing. As for Hot Chip, yarp, I do quite enjoy them. Although I meant to play a different HC song, selecting that one out sheer confusion... Elvis was re-released earlier this year to coincide with the album's release, I believe.

I missed it again! Embarassed Actually I feel no shame I have no memory to speak of.

However how does one make a request? Also if I suggested a song say by Slade would you play it just because I suggested it?
